Ranked by overall enjoyment playing solo. Factors: how fun the rotation feels, how viable the spec is alone, movement/traversal, old content farming, and whether logging in to play this spec makes you smile or sigh.
What This Guide Measures
This is not a DPS tier list. It rates how fun each spec is for a solo casual player doing non-competitive content in WoW Midnight.
Open World — How good does this spec feel killing mobs, doing quest chains, and exploring? Fast AoE, smooth flow between pulls, and "I feel powerful" factor.
Delves — Viability in Midnight's solo delves and labyrinths. Can you push solo content comfortably?
Transmog Farming — Speed at clearing old dungeons and raids for transmog. Stealth skips, AoE speed, handling old mechanics.
Mount Farming — Old raid boss rush speed. Movement between bosses, skip potential, time-to-clear for weekly mount runs.
WQ Speed — World quest completion efficiency. Kill speed + travel between objectives.
Class Fantasy — How cool does this spec feel thematically? Visual effects, power identity, does it deliver on its promise?
Rotation Fun — How satisfying are the buttons? Proc-heavy and reactive, or formulaic and boring? Does it feel good or like homework?
Mobility — Movement abilities, gap closers, traversal speed. How fast do you get from A to B?
Self-Sustain — Can you pull 10 mobs and live? Self-healing, defensives, survivability while solo.
Overall Fun — The aggregate vibe. If you're picking one character to log into every day for casual play, how happy will you be?
Ratings are 1-10:
8-10 — Outstanding. This spec excels here.
6-7 — Good. Solid performance, no complaints.
4-5 — Average. Does the job but nothing special.
1-3 — Weak. Noticeable limitation or pain point.
